WHAT MAP UPDATE CAN DO.
Keep your navigation system maps up to date. Updates are automatic and the new map version is installed in the background.

Important:
In order to execute the Over-The-Air Update for the first time in your vehicle, you will need to download the map via USB Update and install it in your vehicle. After the USB Update you can then start the Over-The-Air update.
For the USB update, using your computer, simply download the latest map version from the ConnectedDrive store. Please use a USB stick with a storage capacity of at least 16 GB to download the map.
Next, connect the USB stick to your vehicle. The update process is simple, following the plug and play principle. You just have to confirm the installation on your infotainment screen using the iDrive controller.
The new map data will be uploaded in the background during your journey.
