Control that exceeds expectations.

The ambient lighting strip extends across the entire width of the cockpit. It creates a horizon of coloured light, perfectly synchronised with the mood lighting of your selected My Mode. By day it looks soft and translucent, by night it reveals dynamic lighting effects.³

The new BMW Panoramic Vision projects personalised content virtually across the entire width of the windscreen. The new BMW 3D Head-up Display provides precise 3D visualisations of important driver information directly within your line of sight.³

With the large 14.6" BMW Passenger Screen, the front passenger can access a diverse range of entertainment. On the Full HD display, they can watch films, play games⁴ or stay productive while on the go. Headphones and game controllers can be connected via Bluetooth.³, ⁶

The Shy Tech controls on your BMW multifunction steering wheel are only visible when available. The surface responds to touch and provides tactile feedback. This means you can take care of important tasks without taking your eyes off the road.

The BMW 7 Series Sedan invites you to enjoy the ride with finely tuned driving dynamics. The adaptive 2-axle air suspension automatically adapts the dampers to the road surface. With Integral Active Steering⁴, the rear axle steering enhances stability, increases agility and reduces the turning circle. To achieve this, the rear wheels are turned by up to 3.5 degrees.

At low speeds, rear-wheel steer means the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction to the front wheels. Parking in tight car parks is therefore noticeably easier. At high speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction. This makes your BMW 7 Series Sedan even more stable during rapid lane changes. At the same time, the spacious second row of seats offers the ultimate in comfort.

With 280 kW ¹ and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds¹, the BMW 740 Sedan delivers pure driving pleasure, whether on long journeys or short city trips.

Whether you seek relaxing moments in Personal, Efficient or Silent mode, or dynamic performance in Sport mode, your vehicle intuitively responds to your preferences. State-of-the-art assistance systems for enhanced safety.

In conjunction with BMW Symbiotic Drive and the driver assistance systems, the BMW 7 Series Sedan delivers a completely new driving experience. The driver's intended acceleration, braking and steering actions blend seamlessly and intuitively with the AI-supported software at all times, generating a whole new level of driving pleasure. These driver assistance features are already included in the basic and standard equipment.

These include such features as the Steering Assistant, the Lane Keeping and Emergency Brake Assistant and Park Assist with a 360 degree camera⁴ and an extensive array of sensors that ensure greater safety and convenience. Optimised warnings for your safety further enhance the system.⁷

Parking Assistant Professional.

The large 31.3" 8K BMW Theatre Screen⁴ automatically extends from the roof at your command, accompanied by cinematic background music. Then, thanks to Dolby Atmos^® Sound, you can enjoy a first-class cinematic experience from every seat.

And when it comes to comfort, the rear of the BMW 7 Series Sedan offers a supremely high-quality and comfortable experience. The seat behind the front passenger tilts back, the front passenger seat slides forward for maximum leg room. Using the extending foot rest, you can relax in a comfortable resting position. Various massage programmes and the heated seats with active ventilation create a pleasant environment, allowing you to enjoy relaxation, entertainment, or productivity on a whole new level.⁴

You can connect up to two headphones and two game controllers wirelessly via Bluetooth to your BMW 7 Series Sedan. The values of fuel consumptions, CO2 emissions and energy consumptions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany, the range shown may consider optional equipment including the different size of wheels and tires available on the selected model.

The CO2 efficiency specifications are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the European Regulation in its current version applicable. The values shown are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the WLTP 4 cycle for the classification.

When charging times are shown they can be affected by a number of factors such as type of charger, voltage supplied to the charger/car and type of current (AC or DC) supplied to the charger/car. The car also plays a role in charging times as it can be set by the driver to accept various different amperage and should preconditioning be used to heat or cool the vehicle while charging this will also affect the charging time.

When available, the basis for the calculation of the charging times for 100 km range is the electric consumption of the vehicle based on the use of a high-Powered Charging station (HPC) or charging type and current as indicted in the literature above. The testing procedure measures are based on a 23 degrees Celsius battery start and ambient temperature with certification values excluding additional auxiliary consuming devices and systems within the vehicle such as seat heating, displays, air conditioning.

Individual consumption (fuel economy) may differ due to driving profile, vehicle load profile, auxiliary consumer usage, temperature, and ambient conditions. Consumption is based on WLTP conditions and is independently tested for BMW Group. If you are comparing this range with other models or brands make sure they are stating the same WLTP, other standards including NEDC can vary considerably. These results can be used to compare vehicles on a close to “like for like” basis but are unlikely to be achieved in real world conditions for reasons including temperature variation, driving conditions and the use of the auxiliary systems referred to above.
