BMW New Zealand hosted a special Christmas function at their Head Office in Auckland for GoBabyGo children and their families, and in the spirit of the season presented a special gift to the charitable organisation.
“This cheque is to reaffirm our ongoing support of GoBabyGo into next year, with the aim of helping even more Kiwi children,” said the Managing Director of BMW New Zealand, Florian Renndorfer, as he presented a donation for $20,000 to the GoBabyGo team.
“We want to help grow the programme even further, as well as visit the remaining four BMW dealerships which are yet to experience the absolute pleasure a handover presentation can bring.
“These handovers are incredibly humbling but are also a special time for the children, as they now have the ways and means for some relatively independent mobility. So rather than being forced to watch the action from the sidelines, they become the cool kid in the playground with a new BMW,” said Mr Renndorfer.
The CEO of GoBabyGo New Zealand, Gilli Sinclair, was equally enamoured with the Christmas event and gift, as well as the presentation of the 49th and 50th vehicles.
“BMW has been, and continues to be, a fantastic partner and its support has enabled us to make a real impact in our first year. Their latest commitment is the best possible start to Christmas for GoBabyGo and will mean we can assist many more families around the country,” said Ms Sinclair.
People interested in supporting GoBabyGo, or families who wish to apply for a new BMW electric vehicle, are encouraged to make contact with the organisation via their website www.gobabygo.org.nz
“With this confirmed funding, we’re now able to get plans in place to supply at least another 50 new vehicles next year,” said Ms Sinclair.
“I can’t wait to see many more smiling GoBabyGo faces behind the wheel of a new BMW.”
