CONNECTED DRIVE SERVICES.

The BMW ConnectedDrive Services option forms the basis for a whole range of intelligent, in-car information and entertainment services.
These include BMW Online, which provides access to current, localised information such as weather and news, as well as an online search and office functions.
It is also possible to put together individualised services such as webcams, parking information and travel or hotel guides. In addition, this option includes the convenient, secure and unlimited use of smartphone apps like BMW Connected. And that's just the beginning: the BMW ConnectedDrive Services option offers so much more to make driving and travelling in a BMW even more enjoyable.

ONLINE ENTERTAINMENT.

The perfect song for every situation, every road and every mood. Online Entertainment offers direct and unlimited access to more than 18 million music titles – all without a smartphone or other device. There is plenty of music to suit every taste. With Online Entertainment, a flat-rate account can be opened at no extra charge with any of BMW's music partners, for example Napster. This service is available in a total of six European countries: Germany, France, UK, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain.
Only available in conjunction with the optional equipment ConnectedDrive Services and the Navigation system Professional.

BMW APPS.

BMW Apps is a platform that enables the convenient use of selected smartphone apps in the car. In order to make a variety of apps available for their vehicles, BMW not only develops its own apps, but also works with partners like Deezer and Audible so that those apps can also be used safely in the car.
To access the platform, the driver need only connect his or her smartphone to the vehicle using the snap-in adapter or a smartphone USB cable. All functions can then be conveniently operated via the iDrive Controller. The selection of apps available for use in the car is constantly expanding thanks to close partnerships between BMW and a variety of different suppliers.

REAL TIME TRAFFIC INFORMATION.

Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI) puts the most up-to-date traffic information at your fingertips whenever you need it. Precise details about the time and duration of delays are relayed nearly in real time. The data is drawn from such sources as movement profiles from mobile phone networks, the GPS data of vehicle fleets, smartphone apps and police dispatches. This data is analysed so precisely that it is possible to determine the location of traffic congestion to within a few metres. This enables RTTI to provide information in real time on the current traffic situation on motorways, main roads, country roads and numerous urban routes, as well as recommending efficient alternative routes.

CONCIERGE SERVICES.

If you've always wanted to know what it feels like to have your very own butler, now you can: with the Concierge Services from BMW ConnectedDrive.
This convenient service connects you with a BMW Call Centre agent who acts as your personal assistant while you're on the road.
Whether you are looking for a particular restaurant, the nearest cash machine or an open chemist – the BMW call centre agent will find it and send the address details directly to your navigation system upon request. They can even make a reservation at a restaurant or book a hotel room for you. Concierge Services operates independently of your mobile phone and is available in your country of residence and abroad – around the clock, seven days a week and at no extra cost.

INTELLIGENT EMERGENCY CALL.

The Intelligent Emergency Call permits fast, targeted assistance round-theclock as well as support by trained staff. If a serious accident takes place involving activation of an airbag or the belt tensioners, an intelligent emergency call is automatically issued. Relevant details such as the exact position of the car, the severity of the accident and the possible risk of injury to occupants are transmitted to the BMW call centre via the car’s built-in SIM card, i.e. independently of a private mobile phone. The BMW call centre will inform the nearest rescue coordination centre and provide assistance over the phone until the rescue services arrive. The emergency call can also be triggered manually, in case other road users require help, for example.
